The other day, as I drove down the street of our little suburb, my eyes were opened to the realization of how many small businesses make up our community. They line the streets on one side and the other. I guess all the talk of taxing small businesses more made me open my eyes to the fact that these aren’t just businesses, these are my neighbors. Seeing them struggle month to month to stay open makes me realize there is no such thing as a “small” tax hike, fees or supply cost increases.
